Leaving on my 4.5 hour drive to Glendale at 3pm pst. Fired up!!! Anyone have extra tickets for sale? Was going to pick 2 up on stub hub tonight, but would rather sit next to UNC fans. Any tailgates or parties set up?

Good luck! I mean that seriously. You should be able to get tix, they sell like 70,000 and probably there are quite a few Ducks and Cocks still looking to unload. The way they sell so many tickets, some that literally look like they are 150 yards from the court, is near criminal.

Roy commented on the raised floor (dugouts for benches) that are standard now. Why did that come to be? for some TV gimmick I suppose. You don't see that for any other games anywhere in any level of basketball. Why do it? It makes it really hard for the head coaches to talk to staff and players "down in the dugout", but at the same time for coaches to talk to players on the court. Its just stupid. And borderline dangerous.

Vanderbilt also has a raised floor. And that's why nobody likes Vanderbilt....

No idea why they do that. Curious to know now.

It's not only the raised floor. It's the extra dimensions around the surface of the court. That has got to be a disconcerting. Maybe the guys adjust to it faster than I think.

I was struck by the difficulty to see the in bounds/out of bounds line on tv as the colors are not that far off. On more than one occasion I thought the ball and player were in bounds only to see they were definitely out. I hope it is easier to see on the real court. (Maybe it had to do with some adult beverages on my part?)

Doesn't Vanderbilt also have the end-of-the-floor bench location? That must screw with the opposing team and coach who are not used to it.

I thought the same thing. Whoever gave the go ahead for that design should be fired.
