Why is this okay with the NCAA?

The duke character is fiction, so I don't see why it would be a problem. Not much different IMO than coaches being part of commercials when it comes to the school being used commercially. It wouldn't sell me a pair of Nikes but who cares.

don't most impoverished inner city kids want to study sociology?

roy should be in p knights ear with more than a dad gum.
before MJ nike was a penny stock.

I love that commercial and the only thing wrong with it is they picked such a cesspool of a school! If you substitute The University National Champions, I would loop that bad boy!

There would many complaints about "recruiting advantage".

Jordan is the best NIKE ever had, and this kid is...o_O

i think he meant that Jordan brand had a commercial out about 3 or 4 years ago...remember the one with the Asian kid that played for unc and the black kid that played for georgetown?....it covered them growing up, playing against eachother in college and ultimately playing for the us and chinese national teams

I dont care what he meant, my point is the same.

Nike was a 3rd rate shoe company until MJ came along. Anything he wants should be met with a "Yes Master".

More facts!

Owning Nike shares has been like jogging over hilly terrain. It's enjoyable only if you don't mind the bumps. The stock dipped below $7 a share in 1985, rose to $20 last year, fell again to $11, and was recently back to $20. This time, however, analysts believe the company has some hot new shoes that will sustain the stock on a long-distance run. Nike, named for the Greek goddess of victory, has been dethroned by Reebok, which took over the No. 1 spot in domestic athletic shoe sales last year. Nike almost completely misread the evolving aerobics craze. Sneaker buyers became more interested in style and comfort, characteristics they identified with Reebok, not Nike. Only the spectacular success of Nike's Air Jordan shoe has kept the company from losing even more ground.

If you think a company that owned half of the market is third rate then you know nothing about business. And net income is a horrible way to judge that, which further shows you know nothing about business.

Play on words.
My MBA and management background proves otherwise.
