I think so ... he talked openly a couple weeks ago about the lure of getting another chance to succeed at that level. He's not going to have a better chance to win another title at UK than he did this year. I say he's gone.

Good luck with that. Rarely are their teams with loaded rosters that need coaches. Usually the Nets/Sixers of the world are the ones looking for coaches. What scares me though is, with all the talk of the disconnect in Chicago between management and Tom Thibadeau, there could very well be that loaded roster right there with Cal's former PG (Rose) pushing hard to get him. I'm not sure that I could continue to call myself a Bulls fan if they hire Calipari.

some talk here in DC that he would come here. We have Wall and there is speculation ,which means zilch, that we would try and get either Cousins or A Davis and then he would coach em up .Fodder for sports talk radio at this point.

Ah yes, I hadn't thought about the DC connection. I would imagine that the talking heads are in overdrive over that one in DC!

NO with Davis could be a destination, LeBron would/could likely get rid of Blatt. There are several good teams that would get rid of their coaches for Cal. He is a hot commodity for NBA teams.

The "Cal to the NBA" talk comes around every year. This seems like yet another year of talk and then he stays at UK.

Don't see him leaving. Has it made in Kentucky. Makes great money, and is almost guaranteed to be in the championship mix every year. Just don't see him leaving that and taking a job at probably a rebuilding job in the NBA.

I think he leaves...he can't stay too long at a university just in case NCAA catches up to him. I do think he would do well in the NBA though

Can't see him going to Cleveland. Lebrin's basically the coach there, I don't think Calipari would appreciate being constantly overridden

There is always the possibility that World Wide Wes gets mad and accidentlaly slips something that gets law enforcement involved. Cal will be smart to take a huge NBA deal and then retiire rich as Croesus.
