Iowa State, Kentucky and Duke all fall so it is not really unrealistic to see UNC jump back up in the rankings. I still see Kansas, Michigan State, Maryland and maybe Virginia ahead of them but a jump from number 11 to number 5 has to be a real possibility. Do you feel that 5 is too high and if so, why?

I think MSU, Oklahoma, Kansas, Maryland, Virginia, and Xavier will all be ahead of us. So I think we will be seventh.

Based on what I have seen I'll leave UVa ahead of us for now so y'all are right, about 6-7 leaning toward 7...tumblers should include ISU, they were suspect against Iowa...Xavier nudges us so I guess I'll go #7...

The Projection is 7th. I don't think they will put us above multiple 1 loss teams with just a win over #22 UCLA.

Dook will most likely move up to número uno after their loss. We'll be in the 6-7 range. I'm content with that right now.

To just hang in there and compete through all that adversity is something else. I mean, did you hear one of their players was under the weather? They also were forced to play Jeter six minutes. I can't imagine how exhausted those guys are after playing last Monday and then having to play again almost immediately five days later. I mean, they almost won the game and that should certainly count for something. I just hope they can all live normal lives.

Plus, they had to leave Durham.

Unlike football, rankings to not matter. I used to care when I was younger, now in I realize there just for fun.

To secure the #1 seed in the East the Heels can't afford too many losses to teams ranked lower than them. They must beat Duke in the first game and also win the ACC regular season title with no more than 5-6 losses going into the ACC tournament. I believe the last 3 UNC titles the Heels were the #1 seed in the East and the Eastern Regional was in North Carolina. With teams being so even this year, don't underestimate the need to get the #1 seed in the East and play in North Carolina.
