Women’s Tennis (2023 National Champions) - Ranked #8

Both UNC Doubles Teams Advance To NCAA Women's Tennis Championship Match

The 2023 NCAA Doubles Championship will consist of two UNC doubles pairs. Fiona Crawley and Carson Tanguilig will face teammates Reese Brantmeier and Elizabeth Scotty in the championship match on Saturday. UNC will win its third doubles championship in program history (2007, 2021). Three doubles championships is third-most all-time. (GoHeels.com)

Brian has done a tremendous job with the women's team over the year, elevating them to one of the top programs in the country. It's amazing they won the NCAA tournament this year, and two women's double teams (UNC) playing for the NCAA championship. The programs seems to be in good hands, and the contract extension is well deserved.

Great road trip for the women's tennis team, defeated Stanford and California. Their only blemish is a 4 to 2 lost to Duke who leads the conference with a 9-0 record and UNC is second with a 9-1 record.

The ACCT for women's tennis begins on April the 15th at the Cary tennis park in Cary, NC. Dyke finished with a 12-0 record in conference play, and 20-12 overall, UNC women were second with a 11-1 record in conference and 20-4 overall. Followed by NC State and VA as the top four teams that will earn a double bye. Should be an interesting tournament with any of the top 4 seeds capable of winning.

Playing Stanford today in our first ACC tournament match.

They shut out the Cardinal 4-0.
