1982 National Championship game

The game was broadcast last night on one of our national broadcasters last night. A few things that have faded with time.

1. Big game James was so much better than I remembered, so smooth and powerful.

2. Dean was all class as we all know but it’s amazing to watch his interaction with the officials compared to coaches now.

3. Patrick Ewing was so good as a freshman, what a motor.

4. Billy Packer was so ACC even back that far. What an A-Hole.

5. 3 of the 50 greatest all time in a single championship game was a real treat.

6. Sleepy Floyd was really, really good but the Georgetown defence was really amazing.
