at least they finished on an "upswing." 2-1 over state, 2-1 over wake and 3-0 over the noles
I like this should be good. I have a hard time understanding this. So UNC has to go 2-0 to advance ? Or can they lose to clemson but beat Miami and advance if Miami beats Clemson

Which is a horrible set up. If we beat VT and we both finish 1-1, we should advance. Instead, they would. The ACC has some horrible set ups for their tournaments.
I agree.. I don’t personally mind the pool play setup instead of double elimination cause it can save on pitching staff but the tiebreaker setup makes no sense to me at all
the 4 higher seeds have a clear path to the semi's - an advantage derived from a strong regular season . . . if the Heels were the #1 seed, we would love this!
Not me. I'd much rather all teams have an equal shot. The soccer setup makes no sense either. UNC women's team was arguably the best team in the conference last year and they didn't qualify.
Top six teams based on points. Tie breakers are records vs common opponents. We were ranked #14 in the country and #11 RPI. No clue why it's only six teams.
