no I haven't, but this makes it look like they are doing the real thing...Anybody ate at Wilber’s in Goldsboro since they have reopened? Do they still cook with wood?

It heartens to see an old institution like this revived. I'll be going there to check it out just for the feel-good of it....and maybe the BBQ will be worth talking about as well.
I haven't been since reopen. I would've been there this week but they're closed Mon / Tue - worse than chikfila

Yes, not so tender but very juicy. You still cooking your pork shoulders at 120 degrees for 30 minutes? 😂
I've eaten at both locations and the q is pretty good. Got ribs at the raleigh one and they were tasty. Not a fan of the cornbread though.Next time I’m in the area I want to try Sam Jones Bbq. Not had it yet.
I bet the cornbread is the same as they sell at the Skylight. It’s called scaled cornbread. I like it but a lot of people don’t.I've eaten at both locations and the q is pretty good. Got ribs at the raleigh one and they were tasty. Not a fan of the cornbread though.

Thanks for the input.Verified. Damn that place is good. They changed the interior a bit and added beef to the menu, but the dead pig is still the best this side of Ayden.
Eddie Lives.
He was a nice guy and he knew how to run a bbq joint.Wilber Shirley passed away earlier this week. His dead hogs will rage on.
Will his death be used to change society?
