What Happened: Went 1-3 this week

Why It Hurts: The RPI went from possible home Regional to possible “first five out” territory.

Man, the midweek loss to RPI No. 257 North Carolina A&T was a real crusher, including the part where it was a 7-6 loss. But then losing two of three at home to Georgia Tech didn’t help that much either, especially the fact that in the two losses the Yellow Jackets were able to pile on 26 runs. Like Arizona above, the starting pitching really struggled this week as the Heels gave up 20 combined runs in the four games they played. And yes, their RPI dropped from No. 27 to No. 48. Now, they could go from the frying pan to the fire as they’ll travel to play a wounded Virginia team. Hey, speaking of…
