Can Rivals hire an actual IT team?

In order to ensure that Rivals.com is prepared and more than stable for National Signing Day, our engineering team will put Rivals through a weekly series of stress tests. Every Wednesday evening, we'll push the Rivals system until it breaks, figure out what broke, fix it, and then get ready for the next week.
Every Wednesday, beginning this Wednesday (11/19), Rivals will experience up to five minutes of downtime between 10:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. PT.
Five minutes might sound like a long time, but it is the best way to ensure sure our legacy system will handle the massive amount of traffic Rivals generates on NSD.

The entire Rivals network is being run off an antiquated system and needs to be overhauled. Eric Winter admitted as much after it went down on NSD last year, which was absolutely inexcusable. It was supposed to be updated by the end of 2014 but obviously that hasn't happened.
