Today the UNC Field Hockey team beat Harvard to go to the Final Four. Friday's semifinal matchups are: #1 UNC/UVA (Noon) and #2 Northwestern/#3 Duke (3pm).
UNC hosts this year, so all games will be at Karen Shelton Stadium (old Ehringhaus Field). Because this is an NCAA event, I expect there to be a fee to get in (unlike normal home games). It will be a normal Friday in Chapel Hill, so you can't just park anywhere. Use the Kenan deck (which faces Ridge Road).
Remember that former superstar player, Erin Matson, is now the coach, and has them in the Final Four in her first year. Matson, incidentally, will not be able to participate in the Olympics next year because of a 2 year agreement she signed with Bubba Cunningham promising to focus on coaching during the period.
The National Championship game will be Sunday, but first things first!
