Lawsuit accuses NCAA of antitrust violation in college athlete transfer rule

The NCAA really does not have much of a case at all. It is ran as a mega buisness, and the law is clear. They keep trying to find loopholes and keep getting massacred in the courts.

So the judge ruled everyone is eligible for the next 14 days. No telling what happens after that.

Yes, but all of the courts have been overwhelmingly, and clear in similar cases against those type limits. If the player is in good standing, on pace to graduate, why are they being denied access to this market place? 2nd time changes this?

NCAA pled with schools/states to not take it to courts. Once they did, it is extremely hard to justify why they do not have to follow the same free market laws in place across the land, that they can prohibit access to the market place in thier buisness model.

I think the anti-trust threat from NC attorney general was the "newly provided information" that ultimately led ncaa to declare Walker eligible to play.

No doubt, once the courts are offered up as the next step, time for the NCAA to act accordingly.

It is sad that it takes litigation to get the NCAA to do the only thing they are supposed to do-protect the rights of student athletes and ensure a level playing field!
