Bulldogs got the bases loaded with no outs in T8 doesn’t seem as if this is the Heels afternoon
Some of this stuff you just can’t make up and need to just say just isn’t your afternoon. Datres couldn’t do anything about that.

It would be nice to get a few runs to give them a little confidence that they can still score.

We can’t seem to play well in Omaha. Got to regroup and get ready for tomorrow. So disappointed.
Hate to see Bergner pitch that well and get no help. Just one of those days. Everyone that has played the game has been there.
Sucks for Bergner. Only four of the 12 runs were earned, just three of those by Bergner. You aren't going to win many games giving up eight unearned.
Just a bad day for the diamond heels. Oregon state is going to come out and try and punch us in the face as they feel we stole one from them the first time around as they didn’t play well. We just can’t seem to get over the hump in Omaha, ever.

• Austin Bergner struck out eight batters over 7-plus innings of work, the most strikeouts by a Tar Heel pitcher in the CWS since Alex White struck out 12 against Arizona State in 2009.
• With his second-inning single, Zack Gahagan extended his hitting streak to a season-high nine games. He is 11 for 26 through seven games in the NCAA tournament.
• Ike Freeman has hit safely in six straight games. Through seven NCAA tournament contests, Freeman is hitting a team-best .467 (14 for 30).
• Michael Busch had his career-best reached-base streak snapped at 34 games.

Cooper Criswell will get the start tommorrow vs Oregon State tommorrow night at 7:00 Pm in the elimination game. Luca Seems to be ok and got some work in last night.
I don't know if I can handle being eliminated yet again by OSU. Need to win this one for my sanity.

Don’t know if mentioned. But maybe we need a good ole ass whooping to get us refocused after a 10 game winning streak. I still think we can beat MSU twice. But we need to get past OSU. MSU is good. But one bad pitch from an overall good performance by our starter. And the perfect storm in the 8th. The guys in the radio said many times. It’s not like they hit the ball hard off us. Except two or 3 times. So we will see.
I actually feel like the winner of tomorrow’s game will beat the Bulldogs twice if UNC/OSU play mistake free baseball

You could not ask more from what Bergner gave us today. He simply did not have any help. Hope you are right
We had our chances. Especially the first 5 or 6 innings. Left a man on 2nd and 3rd quite a few times
Agree. He got no help. Was so frustrating to watch. That kid pitched the best game we have had since the regionals.
