• Carolina trailed 27-19 at the half, its largest halftime deficit overcome to win since trailing Ohio State by nine on December 17.
• It was the first time UNC scored as few as 19 points in a half in a win since beating Purdue in Madison Square Garden on 11/25/1998. The Tar Heels trailed the Boilermakers, 26-19, at halftime but rallied for a 54-47 win in the semifinals of the Preseason NIT.
• The Tar Heels shot a season-low 33.3% from the floor and a season-low 8.7% from three but made 15 of 18 free throws (.833).
• UNC went 2 for 23 from three-point range (Love made both of UNC’s threes). It was Carolina’s lowest three-point percentage ever in a game with at least 20 attempts (previous was .100 on 2 for 20 shooting against Duke on 2/20/2019).
• It was UNC’s third-lowest percentage from three in a win. Carolina defeated LSU on 12/18/1996, when it made 1 of 16 threes (.063), and Gardner-Webb on 11/9/2012, when it made 1 of 12 (.083).

• The two three-pointers were the fewest in a win since making two (of 10) in the season opener vs. UNCW on 11/7/2022.
• Carolina scored 19 points, was 5 for 27 from the floor (.185), including 0 for 11 from three, had no assists and eight turnovers in the first half.
• The field goal percentage was the lowest in a half since going 0 for 2 in the first half at Duke on 2/24/1979.
• The 19 points were the fewest in a half since UNC scored 18 in the first half at Virginia on 2/13/2021.

• Carolina scored 19 of its 44 second-half points in the first eight minutes and 19 seconds.
• In the second half, Carolina had eight assists on 18 field goals, shot 42.9% from the floor and committed only one turnover.
• The Tar Heels out-rebounded the Irish, 52-33, their second-largest rebound margin of the season (+21 vs. Georgia Tech).
• The 52 rebounds were the most in a 40-minute game this season (had 54 in four overtimes vs. Alabama).
• UNC grabbed a season-high 23 offensive rebounds (previous was 19 in the home loss to Pittsburgh) and scored a season-high 23 second-chance points (previous was 19 vs. Boston College).

• Bacot and Love led UNC with 16 points apiece.
• Bacot (11), Black (11) and Nance (10) grabbed double-digit rebounds, the second time this season all three players had 10 or more (also at Wake Forest in a loss).
• Nance scored nine of UNC’s 19 first-half points and finished with 11 points and a season-high and game-high five assists to go with his 10 boards. It was his fourth double-double as a Tar Heel and his first in a victory.
• Nance, who made his 100th collegiate start, grabbed a career-high five offensive rebounds. He had four twice while playing for Northwestern and in UNC’s previous game at NC State.
• Nance has 12 offensive rebounds in the last three games.

• Black became the fourth Tar Heel to play in at least 150 games.
• Black tied his career high with six offensive rebounds and has 64 rebounds (26 offensive) in the last seven games. He also had six offensive rebounds in the 2022 Final Four vs. Duke.
• Bacot recorded his 18th double-double of the season and 67th of his career. He tied NC State’s Tom Burleson for the fourth most in ACC history.
• Bacot also passed three-time first-team All-America Mike O’Koren for 15th in UNC career scoring.

• Bacot had six offensive rebounds to push his career total to 461 in 127 games, an average of 3.63 per game, which moved him ahead of Antawn Jamison’s school record of 3.62.
• Bacot became the sixth player in ACC history with 1,300 career rebounds. He increased his total to 1,301. Clemson’s Tree Rollins is fifth with 1,310.
• Love moved ahead of Luke Maye and Kris Lang for 40th in UNC career scoring (1,406).
• Love made his 100th and 101st career steals. He joined Joel Berry II, Jeff Lebo and Marcus Paige as the only Tar Heels with 1,400 points, 300 assists, 175 three-pointers and 100 steals.
• Davis scored his 1,200th career point (1,210).

• Notre Dame’s bench outscored the Tar Heels, 23-2 (Johnson scored UNC’s two). It was an opponent’s largest margin in bench scoring since the Alabama game (47-14 advantage for the Tide).
• It was the fourth time this season UNC allowed fewer than 60 points in a game and the 59 points were the fewest allowed since an 80-59 win at Louisville on January 14.

Series vs. Notre Dame
• Carolina is 29-9 all-time vs. the Irish, including 13-4 since Notre Dame began play in the ACC.
• The Tar Heels are 6-4 vs. the Irish at Notre Dame.
• Carolina has won two in a row and 10 of the last 12.
