The University of North Carolina's Board of Trustees voted Wednesday to end its 16-year moratorium on renaming campus buildings, allowing names of people who backed slavery or promoted segregation to be erased from campus. The 11-2 vote means that trustees will now set guidelines for how to proceed with renamings, Chairman Richard Stevens said. (WRAL.com)
