Bradley Bethel Featured in DTH Story

Today the Daily Tar Heel published an article about writer & executive producer Bradley Bethel's decision to leave his job to make Unverified.
Bradley was quoted saying, "The decision to leave was difficult, but I made it with the conviction that this film is important and with the hope to return to UNC after the film is completed." He further explained that the film will "give a voice to people whose voices haven't been included in the narrative so far. We're going to give an opportunity to former academic counselors, former athletes, former athletics officials to share their experience."
UNC History professor Jay Smith was also quoted in the article. He claimed he was not surprised by the Kickstarter campaign's success, because "boosters have deep pockets, and the protection of the Carolina brand has become something of an obsession with many of them."
However, the fundraising campaign appears to be a largely grassroots effort. Five hundred sixty-three people have contributed to the campaign at the time of this update, and the majority of those backers have pledged $100 or less. Only 15 of the 563 have pledged $1,000 or more.
We have raised over $96,000 so far and are very grateful to all who have contributed. Please continue to spread the word so that we can reach our stretch goals of 750 backers and $110,000.
