I think football should be played because I think this virus will wind down by mid-May or so. But I see more people suggesting that things will remain shut down into the fall.

The California State University system will not have on campus classes this fall. That is not the University of California system (Cal-Berkeley, UCLA, etc), but schools like Fresno St, San Diego St, and San Jose St do play D1 football.
