Michael Patrick of Winthrop drives a liner over the left field fence (335' IIRC) and that will give the Eagles a 3-1 lead.
Russell at shortstop can't handle a hit from the next batter, who gets an infield single then steals 2nd base.
Runner on 2nd, 2 out, Heels now trailing 3-1.

Next batter gets dinged in the elbow, but the ump determines he actually moved into the path of the ball so no base is awarded. The next pitch is popped up in foul territory between 1st and RF. Parks Jordan backpeddled wildly to get to it and came up with the awkward-looking snag. Probably should've let Ramirez get that one but no harm done.

What was miata saying on the other thread about fielding problems? Heels have looked awful so far.

Rice gets a strikeout and then gives way to Trevor Kelley. Could be another revolving door of pitchers today.

Bolt's bunt is unsuccessful as he's thrown out at 1st. Really tough to watch last year's freshman All-America struggle at the plate this season.

Fielding problems (3 errors), base running errors, and a loss to a sub-.500 team. That was just plain ugly. Glad I wasn't able to watch the whole thing because I probably would've pulled my hair out.
Need the boys to rally for the series against the dookies this weekend. Go Heels!
