Why is there so many excuses for why EC is playing like he is, but none for RJs?
EC is not doing well or turning it over because people aren't moving enough and a big man presence isn't on the roster. Etc etc. The pass first point guards job is to play with the roster you have and maximize their spots to make everyone better.
RJ on the other hand, we will excuse that a lot of the times he is being face shielded, having multiple defenders run at him, or even doubled. And that in a lot of games we are down big, and his shots are maybe I'll advised but are in the vein of we need points and a lot of them to come back now. Or in late shot clock situations.
Like, I don't care if you want to not make excuses or you do. Just be consistent. If you are an excuse maker, don't just pick a single player to make excuses for and then harp on another player incessantly.
