Just going to say it, Scheyer is very over rated. Look, you get multiple 5 stars hand delivered to you every season of course you are going to win a heck of a lot of games, gary's "trained chicken" could do that! Literally face could just roll the ball out and go to dinner with his wife (ala Calipari) with that kind of talent. But let them have to face a solid opponent that may not have the talent level but is well coached, one that hits them in the mouth the same way they like to hit others, the wilt. Scheyer is a glorified baby sitter for future NBA first round picks, same as Caliapri. All that length, no starter shorter than 6'6" and I see Ky driving to the basket, I see wide open jumpers splashed, I see that same ole duke defense.
Maluch and Flagg do inject a defensive threat doing what they were already doing before coming to duke. But when it got down to the most important part of the game, who was it again that gave up 2 crucial turn overs that cost the dukies that game, the face of ESPN, Flagg. Why, cause maybe your 6'9" star shouldn't be taking the ball the length of the court only to drive to the coffin corner and fumble it away. Maybe a coach should have called something different than that.
All I heard going in to this game was how great K'snipple had been playing, last night, K'sNipple got pierced, wonder if Micky thinks it is cute? LOL
On a more serious note, talking to my duke buddy yesterday, we agreed, Flagg is good, he is darn good but if I had the first pick in the next NBA draft my pick would be Budinga, Bill Self has a future super star there, the raw talent on that kid is mind numbing. Flagg would be my #2 pick and Maluuuuuuuch would be in my top 5 (I can just see Maluch in the NBA waving his finger shouting "no no no no no" like Mutumbo! LOL
