The ACC Kickoff is underway (7-25: UNC is up today)

It's a four-day event this year, which is a bit much. But that's how itis.

UNC is the last tream scheduled for a presser and breakout room interviews on Thursday, so I won't be there until Wednesday afternoon. Thye schedule is interesting, and with this beign four days and 17 teams deep, I decided to give you guys the schedule for this week. I will post notes in this thread, but will ramp it up big time Thursday.

Mack lectures us

on how 'around here' 8 wins is pretty good, so we should be happy with that he has done, no matter how WEAK the schedules have been. Once again, I note that Dick Crum's final team finished 5-6, losing 3 games vs. Top Ten teams. If Mack had to play 3 Top Ten teams, he'd befoul his pants worse than Joe Biden and demand a pay increase for his troubles.

On the other hand we have James Franklin saying Penn ST cannot to be satisfied with a 10 win season.

Why?

After five 10-win seasons at Penn State but no College Football Playoff appearances, coach James Franklin understands that the bar has been raised, especially with the CFP expanding to 12 teams this season....

"You're talking about a program that you can win 10 or 11 games and people are not happy or satisfied," Franklin said at Big Ten media day. "We totally get that and embrace that. Our players understand that when we recruit them, our staff understands that when we hire them and, as the head coach, I embrace all of those things as well."

More and more talk of ACC realignment going on

They say that there is no such thing as bad publicity. The future of the ACC has become sports entertainment fodder for twitterati and YouTube podcasters. And the speculation is heating up.
