College sued by father of dead former player

who became a mass shooter and then suicide and who had chronic traumatic encephalopathy.

He can't sue the NFL, so he sues the college. Of course, the problem did not start only after he put on a college helmet the first time. So why isn't the high school sued? And then we have the personal responsibility part. How much did this former player use his head to help him tackle? How much good advice against that did he reject over the years? Did he avail himself of mental health help after his playing days? Did he make things worse for himself by doping and drinking?

The Atlantic Coast Conference and commissioner Jim Phillips are finalizing a three-year contract extension that will keep him atop the league through the rest of the decade. Phillips has been the ACC commissioner since being named in December 2020 and taking over in February 2021 on a five-year contract, of which he was nearing the halfway point. (ESPN.com)
