UNC women's teams

Defeated Duke's women team 45 to 41 today in the last regular season game at Cameron. This came on the heels of a last second lost to VT earlier this week. Finally have two of their starters back after missing multiple games over the last two weeks. Going to be an exciting women's tournament for those who want to tune it, or are a fans of the women's game.

Very quick stuff (FSU game)...

...and once again, I'll take it.

- This'll be very quick, lest I get too much into criticism, but what haunts me is just how poor a passing team we are... and not a good catching team either... phew!

- I dunno what was up with Mando, but that was a forgetable one... at least we survived it.

- we picked a good night to drain 3s. That first half staked us enough to cushion what seemed like an inevitable lull.

- Good minutes by Styles, but where was Dunn?

- Lot of possession for Caleb at PG, likely to relieve RJ from their ball pressure. Did mostly a credible job.

- Anybody else sick and tired of announcers trying to talk us out of the Dance?

- Finally, I'm not going to fret too much more about this one --- bottom line is we went into a stereotypical road TRAP game on short rest vs a newly energized opponent and walked out with a critical W. So yeah, I'll take it.

Anyway, hell... if nothing else, seeing Leaky take one to the rack and give us a highlight flush we've been wating so long for made my damn night. That in and of itself is something to build on for Saturday...

NCAA panel eyes shorter football games, cites player safety

Posted Feb 28, 2023
College football leaders are meeting this week in Indianapolis to consider three rules changes that could shorten game times: running the clock after a first down, except in the last two minutes of either half; eliminating the option for teams to call consecutive timeouts; and carrying over any penalties to the next period instead of finishing with an untimed down. Seeding Scenario’s for ACC Tourney

If we were to lose to Dook and Wake wins at Syracuse we would have the same conference record! Does anyone know who would get the 8th seed? I’m going Wednesday and I’m trying to figure out what session to get! I’d rather get tickets now as opposed to waiting. I know we can also still get 6th place, but seems more unlikely! 6th or 7th means session 3 I believe and an 8th place finish means the noon game and session 2

Florida State fires warning shot to ACC: ‘Something has to change’

FSU’s board of trustees meeting sounded like a warning shot to the ACC: Fix the massive revenue gap between the SEC and Big Ten, or else. “At the end of the day for Florida State to compete nationally, something has to change,” Seminoles athletic director Michael Alford said. Something has to change because the status quo is unsustainable. (Tampa Bay Times)
