Former UNC Recruit Flashback (2004 - 2006) Added 2006 1.12.2023

I recently heard basketball name that I hadn't heard in a long time and it made me think of other prospects UNC recruited years ago. I used to keep a spreadsheet of guys that UNC offered or recruited but stopped a few years ago. For fun, I'll post names every couple of days from previous years starting with the 2004 class for discussion.

2022 National Championship (was Playoff Games)

There is a lot to talk about with the two games last night, but first off, could you believe how similar the OSU/UGA game was to ours? OSU had a nice lead, then couldn’t stop UGA late. Settles for a FG to go up 6 only to see the comeback team score 7 with the better part of a minute left. We didn’t have as much time and couldn’t get in FG range, but OSU did. That kicker must have been really nervous because he was way, way off.

Carolina at Virginia game thread——Tuesday 10 January 2023

With all due respect to the surprisingly Clemson squad right now I feel the Virginia Cavaliers are probably the best team overall in the ACC and they will have a chance to prove it at home against the surging Tar Heels.

The Wahoos can really shoot the three ball 🏀 which has REALLY been UNC’s biggest weakness on defense all year but to me the key for a possible win on the road will be if Davis and Trimble can control K Clark who is the engine that runs the team.

Black also has to hold Fran down to a minimum and most importantly the team cannot fall behind the home team by double digits because of their slow careful type of play.

If he is healthy Nance may be a big plus on offense and defense and be able to give Mando a few minutes of rest each half.

Carolina needs to get to the line more so hopefully Davis, Black and Love will take the ball 🏀 to the rack some instead of just shooting from downtown on every possession..:

ESPN Ranks UNC No. 21 In 2023 Way-Too-Early college football Top 25

UNC Quarterback Drake Maye, a leading Heisman Trophy candidate in 2023, is a big reason the Tar Heels are here. He passed for 4,321 yards with 38 touchdowns and led the Tar Heels in rushing with 698 yards while scoring seven touchdowns. Mack Brown hired new offensive line coach Randy Clements and former UCF offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey. (ESPN.com)
