2020 Carson McCorkle 6' 3" SG Greensboro Day

I was told by a friend who saw him live that this freshmen is gonna be a serious baller , said he had a sweet stroke. I watched a few videos on youtube and an interview and I would love to see this kid at UNC in the future. In the interview the kid said he already has offers from NC Rawlee , Georgia Tech and Iowa I think. Said those showing interest was too many to list but a few UNC, dook , Ohio St. Kansas, Virginia , Davidson. Seems like a solid kid also.
So you guys that follow recruiting what you think about this recruit ?

My high school played against him and he was nothing special, although he's only a freshman.

We also played against Devon Dotson at Providence Day - no idea how he's a MCDAA AND ranked ahead of Quinerly. He had maybe 20 pts and 6 assists combined in 2 games vs us his junior and senior year. Dotson is quick and can get to the line but jump shot is pretty average right now.

Grant Williams from PD was on that same team and absolutely dominated. He just won SEC POY and you could tell he was a star when we played him.

Rechon Black also played against us in a summer tournament and was far from impressive...This was back in his junior year. It's just his 6-7 frame but his shot is a huge question mark and he's slow twitched a la Kyle Anderson from UCLA.

Robinson was so much more impressive in HS FWIW. Robinson's jumper was straight water. Rechon Black is just not that good - I hope to be wrong though. The reason he left Montverde was because he was a bench player
 
Brob will get minutes this year and his shot looks clean, He will help out... He just has a body frame that is difficult to add significant muscle..
 
I said he was BRob 2.0 not as a knock but as a reality. Leaky peaked early and then has struggled mightily against better competition. I hope he is working hard to be productive despite the fact that I don’t see him being a big contributor for us.

No word on McCorkle except one guy trashing him? Nothing special that is why Kansas , UNC , Duke and Ohio State have interest in him !
Brandon Robinson I think could help us if he can get some playing time. You can't have a lot of confidence playing 7 minutes a game. And Leaky will do ok at UNC as well I think.

Didn't trash McCorkle... Just said he is nothing special and is a complementary piece as of right now. GDS just graduated John Newman who is going to Clemson.

I'll be interested to see how McCorkle does as the main guy next year. He wasn't even a top 3 option this year but was only a freshman.
 
The kid is a HUGE prospect. Very impressive freshman. UNC, will be in on him.
