Hopefully that replaces Laettner and Kris Jenkins in FF film reels.
I'm biased, but giving Maye a little more cred for nothing but net.... Didn't see suggs call bank.
I dunno... he banked it. Few claims he knew it was going in. I'm sure they both hoped it was going in. Good thing for them that it did.
Few also said they got a little lucky. Suggs has made awesome plays all nite and all tourney though.
Banking it in is the smart play there though. Long distance shots are basically an attempt to hit the square with the right velocity/angle.
Great ending if you don't care about the purity of the game. Game shouldn't have gone into OT, and Gonzaga shouldn't be in the CG. The UCLA players dunk at around 2 minutes left in reg.was blocked because he was fouled, and the player who controlled the rebound went way out of bounds before coming back in and being the first to touch the ball. I know there were plenty of other bad/missed calls but this was right in front of the ref when the game was on the line. It ain't basketball when the officiating sucks so bad.
