ACC games this weekend

Last night, Louisville squeaked by Wake in WS 20-19. 5 Deac TOs sealed the deal.

The big game for us today is Miami/Dook. WE need the Devils to win so we can beat a ranked Dook team, which should move us up the polls nicely.

The ACC needs Clemson to beat MoU by at least 42 to keep the Tigers in all talks about the playoffs.

The league needs FSU to put Syracuse away rather easily.

It is best for the league if VT beats BC and GT beats UVA.
 
Golson is out for FSU, and McGuire has already tossed his 2nd TD pass.

Golson has not been the answer for the Noles at QB. He has been OK and even good at times, but the offense has been plodding, almost like going through the motions much of the time. Maybe Jimbo needs to see something fairly obvious.
 
FSU won 45-21 after coasting much of the 2nd half, All the announcers discussed how and why they thought JImbo should start McGuire against Clemson. The consensus was: the offense is simply different with McGuire, who provides a real threat to pass deep with accuracy.
 
Moo scores first on Clemson. 7-0.

Now I saw the missed extra point and Clemson's attempt to return it.

Clemson scores easily to make it 7-6.

But then Moo returns the kick off 100 yards.

13-7 Moo with 11:04 left in the 1st.

This game is a weird Halloween game.
 
Announcers are slurping Moo - predicting Moo soon will be program equal to Clemson and FSU.

As did I. Also....and I admit I'd probably say the opposite if we did it....I find State's "NC high school helmet wall" kinda cheesy. This is about college ball, not high school. No doubt they've had some success recruiting NC but it ain't like they're hauling in tons of the Top 10 (or 20) in NC.

These moo announcers are idiots- but it is Mike Patrick.

I thought having the ACC head of officials in the booth was enlightening.

And Clemson is embarrassing itself.

Meanwhile, UVA is waxing Georgia Tech.....and get this, the Wahoos are almost DOUBLING UP time of possession on GT. They've had it 31:45 to GT's 18:42. Good golly, how is that even possible with the offense Tech runs?

Am I concerned about playing at Moo the last game of the season? Heck yes. BUT this is typical Moo. They get super jacked up to play FSU or Clemson (whichever one they play in Raleigh) and they get jacked up to play us. That's it. BC? Lay an egg. VT? Won't even show up. Syracuse? Pick 'em game.

nctstatelol is a self-fulfilling prophesy. So I'm not like terribly frightened by them playing Clemson so close. Plus Clemson has stopped themselves on a couple red zone drives where they should've put 7 up.

ETA: That being said....We shouldn't blitz very often against Moo. Gotta keep their RB's from getting to the second level and getting into full speed where they'll outrun everyone. And note to our DL and LBs, stay on your feet when trying to sack Brissett. Clemson's guys keep leaving their feet and keep getting burned.

But we've got the only offense in the ACC that can put up points with them. DB's would have to have a helluva game and shut down the big plays. But all of the pressure would be on them. Our guys could just pin their ears back and go play.

I agree with our offense can put up points (but Clemson's defense still scares me), but I was more exclusively talking about our D versus their O. They are quick as lightning and their receivers block very well on screens and plays out wide. So our defense would definitely have to bring their A+ game and our offense would have to put it in the endzone and not settle for FG's.
 
Those cheerleaders were far worse than anything Dook has rolled out
 
Not ACC, but Georgia getting mauled by Florida. How long will Mark Richt last?
 
I'm telling u, moo is about to steal this one. Clemson has had ample opportunities to put them away, and hasn't done it.

Whew, Clemson holds. Now, get a first down and get out of that dump.
 
Clemson dawdled too much in that game. They fumbled and didn't floor-it like they could have. Their defense had an off-day as well. I don't think ANY team has put that many points on Clemson this season or last. Venables is going to rip some new assh*les. This game never should have been this close.

However, Brissett is as hate-worthy as Russell Wilson. The dude refused to go down.
 
The fix is in on the Duke game. Miami is getting raped by the officials.
 
Unbelievable screw job Refs just stopped the clock to move the chains on a first down inside the 10 yard line.

Can't wait to get those tools next week, but dollars to donuts Ron Cherry gets the game.

Our offense 'can' put up points with the Tigers, but only if we take advantage of the passing game, using the WRs to maximum advantage.
