TAR HEELS OPEN ACC PLAY ON DECEMBER 30TH

CHAPEL HILL –– The University of North Carolina men’s basketball team will open the 2015-16 Atlantic Coast Conference schedule on December 30th when the Tar Heels play host to Clemson at the Dean E. Smith Center.

Game time is 7 p.m. and the game will be televised on ESPN2.

This will be Carolina’s first ACC game in December since beating Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va., on December 19, 2004. It will be UNC’s first ACC home opener in December since a triple overtime game against Wake Forest on December 20, 2003.

The UNC-Clemson game is part of the “ACC Tip-Off,” a doubleheader that opens the league’s 63rd season of college basketball. Pittsburgh hosts Syracuse in the second game that evening.

The games will also be available through WatchESPN, accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, and streamed on televisions through Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 or Xbox One to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.
