ACC Unveils Conference Opponents for Next Basketball Season

I think this is ok but I have 2 problems. We should always play home & home with Moo and we should always play Wake at least once every year. I know we play Wake once this year but it seems like the formula might spit out a year where we don't play one or the other.

This simply isn't the ACC anymore. We might as well join the SEC and make more money. Based on this current plan, there will eventually come a season where we don't play State at all (and a season where we don't play Wake at all.)

SEC is a cesspool, but I guess their antics are now legal so.....

Once Big B gets football rolling and Bball goes even further, UNC will be able to write it's own ticket to either stay in the ACC with a bigger share or go elsewhere!

ACC better act like they really understand our history and ensure we play Wake and Moo every year or they might be shooting themselves in the foot! (Is the ACC already done as constructed?)

When I suggested in another thread that we shouldn't bother to play all the other ACC teams, I didn't really think they'd do it. But here we go.

Awful idea. And you have to wonder if it isn't just the beginning of the slippery slope.

Why not get it over with and jump to an ACC that's a "conference" in name only, because it's split into 2 different divisions.

I wonder how much the people who came up with this crappy idea get paid?

I understand everyone has the goal of making as much money as humanly possible through college sports, but my goodness the grownups have done their best to absolutely demolish the regular seasons of college football and basketball. In virtually every team sports across the globe, divisional championship is based on some sort of meritocracy You at least play your division the same number of home and away games in the NFL, NBA, and MLB. It would be absolutely insane for the Chicago Bears to go a year without playing the Minnesota Vikings.

I hope eventually they just make it like pro sports and have regionally centric divisions of 8-10 teams in basketball so you can play each divisional opponent home and away. And 8-10 teams in college football so you have to play your entire division every year.

Side note, I hope they bring in a promotion/relegation system into college sports. It would work and would be awesome.
