gotta win 3, which would put us in the ACC Championship game. 2 wins and another loss to Duke does not get us in
I'm inclined to agree.

Being in this bracket may make our first 2 games easier, but it's hard to imagine going any further.

Still, winning 2 games leaves us 22-13. Not great but if the ACC were a better conference, that would be good enough.

Possibly, the other bubble teams have eliminator type 1st games though. Beating Pitt/ND and Wake, then a respectable competitive loss like last night in the semi's may be enough though.

Boise plays SD State, loses out winner in, both are narrowly ahead of UNC by most. Eliminator game for 1.

Xavier plays Marquette they are even with UNC by most.

Ohio St. plays a capable USC, a loss with their late season struggles should drop below as well.

Utah State really struggling must beat UNLV in 1st game in MWC tourney as well, can't afford a loss to not fall below.

Baylor best matchup with probably Kansas State to hold on to the right side of the bubble.

As always for bubblelicious teams though, a bid stealer winning a tourney from well outside is deadly, like NC State last year snatching a bid.

please pass the weed that you’re smoking, must be the good stuff
Despite everything, a week or two ago we were projected in the Last Four In by Lunardi. He has us second of the First Four Out now, but Boise St lost last night so that would put us first.

If it's really that close, it's not too crazy to think the committee could put us in for the revenue that comes with having a team like UNC. Of course it'd be rightfully viewed as a snub, but there have been worse ones in the past, and we know it's all about the $$$ now. Maybe we need at least one win, but we will definitely beat whoever we play on Wednesday.

At this stage in the poll, 70% of us think we can get in without having to win the tournament. But 73% of us think we'll have to beat Duke to get a bid.

Meanwhile, 60% of us think we should accept the NIT bid if we miss the NCAAT.

Any scuttlebutt on how the team and coaches feel about the NIT? I'm sure nobody is focusing on that right now, but it's possible that decision has already been made.

I think we make it in with wins against, I assume Pitt and then Wake. Duke should cruise to the final game beating us to get to it. I don't think another loss to duke hurts us, I think we make the NCAAT with 2 wins in the ACCT.

Make it to the NCAAT and a very interesting thing may happen, hope the selection committee would not match us up early with duke, I think we can play with Auburn/Bama/Hiouston. If we had to play in the play in game, it could help us get used to the surroundings, give us a warm up so to speak and have us better prepared to face a #1 seed. Beat that #1 seed and you can flip the bracket to being in your favor easier than say a 7 or 8 seed can.

I’m not sure i follow your logic. At what point would we face a 1 seed? If we get in…it’ll be as an 11/12 seed and would have to play a 5/6 seed in round 1. If we are one of the last 4 in, we’d have to play in one of the “play-in” games in Dayton, OH (still as an 11/12 seed) and would play another 11/12. If we won that game, we move into the “1st round/round of 64” vs a 5 or 6 seed

I know a lot of folks are down on the ACC this year., and I agree that we have some sub-par teams. But imo game #12 of the ACCT, Louisville-Clemson. has the potential to be one of the best games played at any time, anywhere, this year. And that winner will likely get Duke, so potentially another great game. The ACC isn't completely dead!

Yay. The terrible conference is terrible except for our biggest rival and a couple other teams no one cares about.

I’m trying to figure out if that poast was supposed to be rubbing it in or some type of weird consolation.
