AJ: Are the Heels Changing?
Might the Tar Heels be in the process of changing to a bigger, more fortified and better team?
Without even reading, the answer is way too little way too late.
Exactly. A couple wins against bottom feeding teams doesn't erase a whole season worth of disappointments. If they win out (highly highly unlikely) I still think they need to even win another 2-3 games in the ACC tourney to have a legit shotWithout even reading, the answer is way too little way too late.

I'd love to but when you literally live paycheck to paycheck and $100 is two months worth of your electrical bill, you have to prioritize. I enjoy the articles that I can read. Thanks for those. That's why you need to read it.![]()
I feel that. I may not be in your situation but I'm sorry you are there. You shouldn't have to feel like you have to shell out money to simply find joy. That's what the world's in a lot of ways become though. Ironically as I get older I realize the absolutely free things I probably took for granted for decades- conversations with friends and family, sunsets, the moon and the stars- music or a musical instrument you have had for decades- all things that expect nothing and aren't trying to upsell you to a shinier better version- these are the things that matter.I'd love to but when you literally live paycheck to paycheck and $100 is two months worth of your electrical bill, you have to prioritize. I appreciate the kind words and I couldn't agree more. I rarely watch any Carolina games these days, my heart's no longer in it. I spend time on here to commiserate with other old timers who sorta share my decades of UNC memories and long for the past. Other than baseball(my first love), sports has pretty much left me behind. I'm okay with that. And as you said, when you get older you learn what is really important in life and it isn't the outcome of a game or a season. To me it's faith, family, health, and friends. That's what I focus on now. Take care buddy.I feel that. I may not be in your situation but I'm sorry you are there. You shouldn't have to feel like you have to shell out money to simply find joy. College and specifically Carolina basketball used to be me as a kid at my Dad's place listening to Woody on the radio TV sound off- or just Woody as the sound and the pictures to games that weren't on free TV. Seeing freshman mature into seniors on a real team. My Dad would buy Street and Smiths every season and I'd study that thing down to looking at the last few pages most probably ignored that was a few lines on up and coming players- that's all there was. Now it's NIL, transfer portal, having to pay for an extra tier to get ESPN+ or whatever- "free" sites laced with ads whilst holding the curtain to "the real information and stories" for a price and other forums that you have to pay to join.
Oh this is a basketball thread- go Heels, play great D like you did v. state- blah blah blah.
Take care .
No we don't, unless the committee drinks the Lunardi kool-aid.I think we have to beat dook to get into the NCAA tournament, I didn’t think that was possible but if we dial up last nights performance against them at home I think there’s a chance. 20% or less chance, but at least a punchers chance. 🤞
Our margin of error is indeed razor thin. If we're 20-12 heading into the ACCT, we'd still probably need to win at least one game, maybe two. Do you agree? No we don't, unless the committee drinks the Lunardi kool-aid.
Just can't afford any more f-ups til then though.
Do you really think it's that dire, Kool? I mean, it may be.Will have to win the ACC Tournament to get in….

Yeah, I would include the first ACCT game as a f***-up to avoid. Our margin of error is indeed razor thin. If we're 20-12 heading into the ACCT, we'd still probably need to win at least one game, maybe two. Do you agree?
At this point in the season I have no clue what is going to happen game to game…Do you really think it's that dire, Kool? I mean, it may be.
It really hurt that they got blown out at Duke and Clemson. That leaves a mark on your team.I think we have to beat dook to get into the NCAA tournament, I didn’t think that was possible but if we dial up last nights performance against them at home I think there’s a chance. 20% or less chance, but at least a punchers chance. 🤞
I read it and my biggest question is why did it take till late Feb. to start doing what they should have been doing all year? And tbh I think this is just a fluke against a very bad ncsu team and I'll be surprised to see Keats back next year and I''l be (pleasantly) surprised if this defensive approach continues the rest of the way. jmoThat's why you need to read it.![]()
