This is the worst year of ACC basketball I have ever seen. And I go back a long time. That should be front and center in any evaluation of the status of the HC and his staff .

I was thinking about the 2010 team. Practically the opposite in roster construction. Good bigs, struggling back court. Some injuries and a freshman who took his time getting it.

At this point in the season, that 2010 team was 14-12. Our current team is one better at 15-11.

That team missed the NCAAT but ran to the championship game in the NIT (losing to Dayton). That NIT run turned the corner for several players (notably Henson) and a lot of fans, and - together with one of Roy's best recruiting efforts - paved the way for an Elite Eight appearance the following year.
