Last I heard he was on life support. I guess he didn't pull through.
Oh well. He was a great talent! There's an awesome documentary on Netflix about him and the band.
He was also in George Harrison: Living In The Material World by Scorsese. I'm reminded of a pretty poignant moment in that film when he and George had a phone discussion about learning of Roy Orbison's death. He said "And, one thing he said that stood out was 'Aren't you glad it wasn't you?'... and, I said... well, yeah!"
Now they can jam a few tunes as a trio!
