Another possible branch on the coaching tree

If CB were to get the job, it'd give Roy another opportunity to bring an Alum to the bench. He may choose to go with Brad Frederick but could opt with someone like Jerry Stackhouse (my choice), Rasheed Wallace, Sean May, Bobby Frasor, Jackie Manual, David Noel, and the list goes on and on with possibilities.

CB has been a long time assistant to Roy and deserves a shot at a HC gig!! Hope he gets it! Also like mentioned opens up a spot on our bench for some interesting possibilities!

Brad is director of basketball operations and Sean is on campus recruiter. They are on staff and hence "on the bench", at least Brad is...Sean usually sits right behind the bench.

Glad to see the tree growing. Guy I would really watch next 5 years is Jerrod Haase @ Stanford. If he can prove to do really well at Stanford , he could be an interesting Roy replacement prospect.

Shammond Williams might be a possibility. Roy brought him up when he put out a press release about Hubert being hired.

"I considered several current college coaches as well as people wanting to get into college coaching - it was a fabulous group. Guys like Shammond Williams are not in college coaching now, but is going to be great when his time comes."

Would love for Shammond to join this staff.

Reading up on Bobby and why he is back at his old HS coaching. He did some of the same things with Haase ( I did check it) at UAB that Hubert, Brad and Sean are doing. Tough road but if you really want to be in coaching at this level it is very tough. And requires a great deal of patience. Time will tell and we do have other guys out there.

Sounds like this is official now. Best of luck to CB and it'll be interesting to see who backfills his spot.
