As much as I love your enthusiasm, I think you're way off base here. I see Ant as more of a guy who can do a lot of things. He can defend, rebound, and yes, score when opportunity presents itself. But he's not a guy you run your offense through. Will be the best pure scorer on the team this season. That backcourt will give other teams fits.
1) Smooth’s matter of fact statements are often insane. Maybe it’s intentional for a reaction.
2) Anthony Harris is not a pure shooter. If he’s our best pure shooter then we may be worse from the perimeter than last year.
I certainly see your Point he is a lefty launching it from his shoulder and it does not look like that is a Wayne Ellington looks like all of them are going in stroke..
Yeah, he’s a glue guy that leads by example, does a little of everything, and provides toughness. I sure wish him a healthy season.I would describe Anthony Harris as a "utility player". Like someone else said... he'll have a couple big scoring games, and some goose eggs. We will have a ton of options this season.
too much to drink on Saturday Night? Will be the best pure scorer on the team this season. That backcourt will give other teams fits.
But good old Bobby could throw it in the ocean. I don’t mind if Andrew starts but he’d better bow up and at least make wide open shots or it’s gonna be a boring season for him.Put in in stone and then put it to rest. Harris will be a spark plug for the team but and you heard it first here Platek will open the season as the STARTING shooting guard . Davis might be a elite scorer but for this season he will be the backup point guard period.
Coach William's is not going to open the season with a all freshmen backcourt starting the game. For some of you you might remember when Ellinton and Lawson came to the hill and did not start immediately as Bobby Frazor got the nod.
No one is ever going to confuse Platek with Frasor, ever! If he hadn't hurt his knee, Bobby would have been a really good player. Even after the bad knee injury, he was twice the player Andrew is. No offense to Andrew, but that's a fact.Put in in stone and then put it to rest. I agree. If there is a normal season, Platek and all of them will get the normal non conference "chance/look" from Roy. When that time passes, I think RJ and Love will be the preferred tandem in the backcourt.
Fixed it for you.I think Platek will fit into his spot player role, with many nights being DNP coaches decision.
I wouldn't call being on a Final Four team boring. But good old Bobby could throw it in the ocean. I don’t mind if Andrew starts but he’d better bow up and at least make wide open shots or it’s gonna be a boring season for him.
I will be absolutely shocked if Platek starts game 1 next season, Roy will give him the shot but I don't see him able to beat out either RJ or Walton.

We have a couple of guys on this team that I think will be natural scorers, Caleb and RJ. Yes, both are freshmen, but then this team is going to rely heavily on contributions from freshmen. Whether our fans are comfortable with that or not, it's true.
We have some nice upperclassmen, the best of which is Garrison. Leaky can also play a key role if he can just stay healthy and find some confidence. But I don't think we can count on much from Andrew or Sterling. So like it or not, we will go as far as our sophomores and freshmen can take us. Thank goodness we have some very talented young men stepping into the breech and one of the best staffs in college basketball to lead them.
