Any hockey fans here?

I'm wondering if any of you like the NHL. I never really followed it closely until I moved to Michigan, but it's definitely grown on me. Lots of exciting young players in the league now, and it's become more about speed and skill. I find it far more enjoyable to watch than the NBA these days.

I prefer it to the NBA since I don't know who will win the championship every year. I'm a bruins fan, I assume you pull for the Red Wings?

At first I was reluctant to them moving away from the bruising nature of the sport, but the speed and skill that has been the result is nice to watch. Will probably bring more fans to the game too which they need. Still wouldn't mind them having a few more fights again though

HUGE Caps fan still on a high from the glorious CUP win this past summer. I have been following the team since the beginning 1974... and all the choke jobs and n miserable failures were washed away with the Cup victory.

Hockey is an incredible game to watch in person, absolutely exciting and riveting, especially in the playoffs whish are a notch higher in intensity

I agree with you about playoff hockey. Great drama and action and you never know who's going to hoist the cup when it's over. While I'm not a Caps fan, I was pulling for them and was glad to see Ovechkin finally win it after coming close so many times in his career.

I've tried. I really have. In high school I followed it (was a Whalers fan) and we loved the shit out of NHL hockey on Super Nintendo. Blades of Steel on original Nintendo was legit too. But I can't do it. I don't have the time or effort to follow another sport. Plus, those dude's last names are impossible to pronounce and remember. F*ck that.
