Not by any player but by Coach Williams by putting a taller Jackson on Dunn which completely caught Dunn and the Friars off guard. When Carolina made its second half run to blow the game wide open this simple move proved to be the key to the whole game changing in favor of the good guys in white.

In all seriousness the change to put Jackson on Dunn, as well as picking him up full court were the difference. Made him work real hard to get his points and it showed as he was tired and in foul trouble all night.

Really good adjustment.

Bentil and Dunn getting into foul trouble was key too. He scored tremendously easily once they had to go zone.

Picking him up full court was a nice wrinkle too. Made him work nonstop which showed up on the defensive end as he was tired and in foul trouble.

No doubt that Jackson's length really effected his game. I think the Heels also did a better job of not over-rotating in the second half, taking away his passing lanes.

Pinson did a HELL of a job slowing Bentil down. Another great move by coach last night.

yes he did, actually a lil surprised more are not talking about the great defense Theo put on display, kid was yet again OUTSTANDING!

IMO, Roy put on a coaching clinic last night and the Prov coach was just out matched. Putting Theo on Bentyl and then attacking Bentyl with the size of Issiah on the other end. Putting Justin's length on Dunn and making him work full court, guards taking away passing lanes from Dunn's drives, having our bigs rotate over for shot blocks. Prov goes to a full court press and we totally destroyed it for easy lay ups. Having Issiah attack Bentyl with 4 fouls by putting the ball on the floor from higher out than you typically see Issiah doing and attacking looking to hang him with that 5th foul. Pulling meeks and putting a lot of brice & issiah together and having them crash the boards for easy put backs or big time defensive rebounds, off side blocks, running Justin out to force defenders to chase on tired legs.

I mean hey, it was a clinc and it was a message for the rest of the field, UNC is not here to mess around, they are here on a mission. Put us in the tuff bracket, bury us on late night, have all the experts picking us to be the 1st 1 seed to be taken out, keep the fire on us, steel gets stronger the hotter the fire becomes.

I found it interesting, this game was on TBS for its 9:40 or so tip time, I guess so many folks nationwide had to get their fix of a crap sitcom marathon that they could not find a way to have a NCAAT game played at a reasonable time.

Agreed Dave,It was a slap in the face for the No.1 seed playing the late game.Like Roy said,he thought we were in the east bracket not the west.To those who criticize roys coaching...sometimes it's better just to sat back and watch.

Roy's comments on the start time were a bit tongue in cheek, as he had that wry grin at the presser after he said it, but his point was made.
Now we go to next week and the Friday Sunday set...
