1. Show everyone you don't understand that the constitution ONLY protects your free speech from the Government. - ✅️

2. Insert your irrational fear of transgendered people and pronouns into a conversation that has nothing to do with them. ✅️

3. Drive by insult on Obama. ✅️

Tucker Carlson would be proud of the ignorance you just displayed.

Honestly, it's so crazy to see that there are adults in this country who don't understand the First Amendment and Free Speech. When you find yourself being dumber than an elementary school student when it comes to understanding how the 1st Amendment works, and you're throwing your Fox News generated outrage over transgenders into a conversation that has absolutely nothing to do with it; it's time for your grandchildren or your caretaker to unplug your TV and internet devices.
There you go, great example of exactly what I was saying, you do not disappoint chappel, way to attack what you do not agree with! LOL

4. Playing the victim when someone accurately points out your ignorance. ✅️

The fact you aren't even capable of saying "whoa he's right, I completely failed to understand what the First Amendment says about free speech because I've been watching too much Fox News" is astounding.

Seriously, go stand in front of a mirror and repeat after me. "The First Amendment ONLY protects my free speech from the Government. It does not protect me from others criticizing what I say. It does not protect me from social or professional consequences for what I say. My freedom of speech is not gone just because Fox News said it was. My 1st Amendment rights have not changed my entire life. Fox News said in court that they are an entertainment channel, not a News channel, and I am embarrassing myself every time I regurgitate the lies they have told me." Don't stop saying it until it actually sinks in.

You should take your own advice.

Pretty obvious you do not take criticism or disagreement well at all.

Are you going to continue to lie chappel or are you going to honor your on words and leave me out of your mind? You have become my clown, a sad clown for sure but none the less a clown.

Soooo... why are you always one of the first ones to insist that someone be banned or kicked-out of the forum by the "mods."

This board doesn't need moderation. It's all grown men yammering about a sport that most of them have never even played. In cases like this, where some white guy(s) get pissed at some black person being too uppity, then it goes away from the sport. But, still, no moderation is needed. It just needs people to communicate with mutual respect. And, when that's not effective, just ignore someone that bothers you or that you disagree with. There's no need to "ban" anyone.

I agree that the 1st Amendment protects citizens from government interference/censorship. But, that doesn't mean that other citizens can't criticize you and even denigrate you because they believe your opinion/attitude is... um... different.

Free speech means you have the right to tell someone something that they DON'T want to hear.

Well then maybe you have the patience to educate Dsouthr on things he should have learned in grade school. Instead of actually knowing and understanding what the 1st Amendment is, he's goes on a rant that is identical to the lies being told daily on a certain entertainment channel.

Imagine a grown ass man actually believing "we don't have freedom of speech anymore."

Please tell everyone where you get your news from? Btw, Fox is the #1 rated channel in that category.

LOL My Clown, maybe I could rent you out for dunking booths or kid's birthday parties? LOL Oh, no, not kid's birthday parties, parents really don't want their kid's sitting on some man's lap that is playing dress up. Did your parents dress you up like a little girl and you liked it? Just curious chapel, how many friends of yours are tranny, must be several considering how SENSITIVE you are toward them? Are you gender confused? LOL Hey man, your life, live it any way you want, just don't include me in it. You did lie didn't you, you said you were not going to talk to me any more, didn't you, you lied when you said that, didn't you? That qualifies you as a liar, does it not?

Why all the hate for Dawn Staley? Haven't seen anyone on here explain it. However I think I know why.
I think she's a good coach, recruits well and her teams plays hard. As far a "race baiting". The person starting this thread did a good job of 'baiting' people into a heated discussion on 'race'. That's "Race Baiting 101".

The Gary gang even blames the refs in games that don't even involve Carolina!
wouldn't that be an indication that the gripe is about the state of officiating in general and not just when it affects us? If so, count me in. I think the NCAA could recognize that there is a problem and then do something about it.

I did notice a lot of anger and negative comments directed at LSU for giving the same "you can't see me and ring gestures back to Caitlain after she did it after beating Louisville and South Carolina, as well as to LSU.

Somehow that was all good for Iowa to do, strong competitive desire, now it's classless for LSU though ?

You did everything but call the officials racist. Don’t try to back track. Your post was ridiculous. Might as well try to call racism when a tornado strikes a predominantly black town. Is everyone a victim of something? Both the “V” word and especially the “R” word are grossly over applied.
I don't back track and I don't need you to put words in my mouth. A little Reading Comp 101 might help you though.
I also notice you didn't answer my question of why you changed the "original" title to this post. 🤔

am I the only one who noticed that Staley said, without provocation, 'don't judge us by our skin color'? How is that not introducing race into the situation? I don't really care much at this point, I'm almost numb to the constant racism brought about by people complaining about racism...but I have to admit it would be nice to somehow return to a time when it didn't have to be mentioned with every other breath by the hopelessly hare brained.

Cue strummingram, who will say 'yeah, you'd like to go back to a time when you could wear a robe and a pointy hat and burn a cross'. which basically proves my point.

Biased much? You have lost the respect of quite a few posters here because of your high opinion of yourself. If you’d stop talking down to people and learn to agree to disagree, you’d fare better.

I never even implied that I was pissed at Dawn Staley, let alone that I thought she was “getting uppity”. FTH tried to blame the outcome on racist referees. That’s sheer lunacy.

I don’t think the topic is inappropriate. Dawn was a UNC basketball player and this is a basketball board. She embarrassed herself and UNC by introducing race into the PC.

ummmmm......Staley didn't play at UNC. She played at UVA.

the irony is that we rightfully insist that every individual be treated the same as every other individual...but when we treat another individual with some negativity that we would treat any other individual with, if that individual is black, you're going to get accused of selectively picking on the individual because of race. It will be said that you addressed that individual with negativity because he/she became 'uppity'.

You apparently are NOT supposed to treat every individual like everyone else. When we can TRULY treat every individual like everyone else without fear of idiotic, knee-jerk responses, we can say we got there.

This definitely should have gone in the political thread on OOTB.
not really, unless you move a number of other posts there as well....maybe even most of them. You can't separate various subjects in black and white fashion. Notions interact and interchange. If you draw lines, those lines are arbitrary.

What did the initial post have to do with "Tar Heel Basketball" other than a boomer getting butthurt about something political?

beats me. It has all been political as far as I can see, but at least it's about BB..

Says the genius that said he wouldn't be surprised if the refs helped Iowa win because most of the Iowa players were white.
"The referee, some say, should be urine-tested and probed by the gambling cops. Others, predictably, are citing race — the official is Black, Clark is white".

Woke or nah?😏

I think she made a comment on the perception of her African American athletes, and took objection to the "bar fighting" type analogy as it is pertains to how they are judged.

It just so happened that in the final between Iowa and LSU a clear difference in reaction to gestures became obvious for who does it.

Kinda like the Georgetown thug narrative that was given under John Thompson, really?

Some people can't handle the truth, they call it "Unamerican, communist, woke".
All of the above.

Scene 1: a player makes a shot and then does the 3 goggles thing as they run down the court away from the opposing players.

Scene 2: a player makes a shot and immediately runs over and stands 2 feet in front of an opposing player and mimics the 3 goggles thing.

Are these the same?
