Ashton Hagans decommits from Georgia and reclasses to 2018

Don't think Roy is gonna take he offered both and it was pretty much a first come gets it deal
Fox is reportedly a dead-man walking.
Jalen Lecque from Arden Christ School.
He's in the 2019 Class too, but there was talk of him reclassifying.
So it seems.
Is that justified? Georgia isn't bad this year and what exactly do they expect to be?
There are so many question marks left for next year. Will Jalek come back? If he does, would we still pursue Hagans? Does Cam come back? Does EJ join? Are there enough scholarships to go around? Some of these I feel like need to shake out first before we think ab a Hagans pursuit.
Oh yeah, my UGA friends are adamant. His post-season record is basically non-existent in 9 years on the job all the while the SEC is getting stronger. Interestingly the current FBI scandal has given him some cover and he's been pretty outspoken about it --- Fox does run a clean program (unlike Kirby Smart in football) --- but I don't know if that will be enough to save him from the pitchforks.
Well, Roy was recruiting him before Francis popped. He is indeed reclassifying because he'd be too old to play in GA HS another year, and the option would be prep school otherwise.
He originally picked UGA because he's sort of a legacy (ex-mutt Trey Thompkins I believe is a cousin he's close to), it's less than an hour from home, and I think he has OAD on the mind anyway.
I'm pretty sure Roy has a good idea how everything is going to pan out. If he goes after Ashton, then I'm confident that we have a place for him. You make it sound like it's us fans that have to make the calls. Just relax and enjoy being a Tar Heel.
Then again, at his size and with his driving ability, he might be as good or better choice than Moore or Nickelberry. Just watched a short clip and he could play SG, maybe even SF in a pinch, yet slide to PG as needed.
Unless there's some reason to avoid him, I'd lump him in with Moore and Nickelberry - who are playing it way too coy to make me happy - and make that a 3-way first-come situation.
I also think Roy needs to offer a couple more bigs in the 2019 class. With TX fading, we should have a good shot at Baker. But we aren't being given much chance with our other targets. And although Baker is listed as a center, there's nothing about him that says back to the basket.

Hmm... I was told he would be too old to play in the GHSA. Guess he could end up at Oak Hill or some such place.
