Kendall Marshall and Ed Cota were in the same boat. Donald Williams also left UNC without qualifying for the rafters, but the requirements were later changed so he got in.

Hopefully Bacot returns and we surround him with shooters, allowing him to thrive and finally achieve one of the requirements for an honored jersey.

I'm happy with the current qualifications. Think about how hard it is to meet them and how many have done that. It's ridiculous that we have that many up there. Only a couple of programs have had that kind of talent. How many teams could say people like Bradley and Bacot aren't good enough? Almost anywhere else they would be the best player they've ever had.

Bacot will have all the recognition he will ever need from The Family! I wish he was up there too, but I do not support diluting the standards! We shouldn't take the easy route but stick to our guns and recognize that our history is so strong that tremendous players might not qualify!

Qualifying to have your jersey hung in the rafters SHOULD BE VERY HARD TO DO, especially at a program like UNC! I would never reduce what it takes to qualify for that amazing honor.
