I wasn't expecting Platek to really contribute this season, but he just has a looooong way to go defensively. You can never have enough shooting, so I don't disagree with you that he'll end up being a valuable rotation player by his junior/senior year... But that means he's gotten exponentially better defensively. He makes defensive mistakes that high school juniors shouldn't be making.
B-Rob's role probably has to change to get the most out of him. He probably isn't a structured system player. He needs to be more of an energy wing that carries his value defensively.
I just hope Seventh gets healthy... I hope it's not one too many injuries for him.
And it's absurd if people are giving up on some of the bigs. Those guys are going to be the key pieces in a couple seasons. If those guys develop into all-ACC caliber guys, we'll compete for final fours... way too early to have a strong opinion either way IMO. They're probably not ready for the responsibility they have to carry right now.

Duke is awful defensively and isn't winning the title this year. With that said. Bagley should NOT be allowed to play in college this year. The manner in which he reclassified and made it into Duke is very suspect. But since the NCAA is abunch of Duke and unc blow hards they were more than happy to assist Duke and cheat for them by making a player eligible that had no business being eligible at all for this season let alone so quickly.
No way does bagley reclassify,commit to UK and play thisseason. Just no way would thatever happen. But the ncaa will dowhatever it takes to enhance duke's title chances even if thatmeans adding players that shouldn't be eligible oroverseeding with cupcake brackets. Much like unCHEAT andhow they get a cupcake bracket,overseeded and crooked refs everyyear. Duke gets the same.
With that said Duke is miserable on defense and they can get as much help from the ncaa addingplayers, setting up cupcake brackets, assigning certain officials to fix games for Duke. They still won't win it this yearunless its an all out cheat fest by assigning crooked refs for literally every single duke game to becalled one sided much like unc last yearand how they had crooked refsfor literally back to back to back to back to back games in order to winthe title. Each of those 5 games starting with that very crooked Arkansas game unc loses without crooked officiating.
So if Duke gets that type ofassistance this year they will have it in the bag. But so would creighton if they got that kind ofhelp from officiating and NCAA having refs fix the games. Duke's last title was also due to crookedofficiating thru out entire final 4. Refs knocked us out, then cheatedWisconsin after Wisconsin had nobusiness being there to begin with due to the officiating from thegame before, and then the irony of it all the refs then screw wiscy in the title game after the refsscrewed us. And Ryan still had the audacity to cry about refs after we got cheated, even tho he did infact get cheated. It was just funny how it worked out so perfectly for duke. We get very hard bracket, Dukegets by far easiest bracket in the tourney the one we deserved, refsknocked us out because Dukewould've got blown out by us andeven arranging a fix wouldn't have won duke the game vs us that year. So the ncaa had the refs take us out before reaching duke then they screwed Wisconsin all gamelong in order for Duke to win.
With how the bagley situationplayed out could easily see a fix in this years tourney especially after how obvious the fix was last year. It's literally like watchingprofessional wrestling with how crooked these refs and the NCAA are. If you think the refs don't profit from vegas off the NCAAT having friends do the bets for them then youre crazier than hell. Literally the easiest profession to make dirtymoney from and not get caught, with basketball being by far theeasiest sport to manipulate the scores of. The only way this could ever change is to turn basketballinto a sport where gambling isn't allowed. And for those who thinkrefs don't gamble, not even one or a few at the highest level in college. Then you must think thisworld is full of nothin but greatpeople and that bad human beings don't exist. Which some are naiveenough to believe.

Are you arguing that Manley/Brooks/Huffman are as good as Bradley? The players Roy said didn't combine to make a single player he'd be confident in? Do you think we wouldn't be better if we had Bradley? Do you think Roy thinks we wouldn't be better if we had Bradley?
Imo berry is the only player that would start on the ranked acc teams although i havent seen clemson play. I’m afraid our talent problem isnt just in the front court. I predicted 6-8 conf losses at befinning of the year and thats aging pretty well.
Berry is also the only one who would start on most of Roys really talented, great teams. Actually, maybe not. Regardless, point well taken.
Some of you "glass half full" people willingly blind yourselves to the reality of the sport we are in.
