So I clicked on this thread and am watching that UNC Duke game. When the score was about 14-12 I think Cota was called for a charge on a 'hedge' by one of the Dukies and it was almost as bad of a call as the Strickland charge when he dunked over Singler. It would not have been called a charge today no matter what. While it is certainly another example of flopping it reminded me more of one way the game has changed over the years. It would be a block 100% of the time today. Then a few minutes later there is another charge called that is not even remotely close to a good call. The guy was jumping into the offensive player. I mean, it was comical to watch. Yet the announcers are acting like it was an obvious call, which makes me think it was back then. Another play that would without a doubt be called a block today.
