It would be nice if both do. But I feel one of them will breakout like Brice did last season. This is their last go around and I'm sure they want to Impress the NBA scouts as much as they can to get drafted.

I agree that Hicks should have a serious break out year! He really only has to fix one thing-staying on the court. I believe that Meeks got enough feedback from the pros and is healthy enough to show serious improvement as well. If both come true we should have another special year!

Hicks will break out if he can improve his lateral defense and stay out of foul trouble. A go to post move would help his cause as well.

Meeks will break out if he can stay healthy and benefit from his offseason conditioning. If he gets a bum joint and has to rest it, he's gonna get fat and lose that lift he's gained.

The last time around for both these dudes. Would be awesome to see them truly put All-ACC type years together. They're both so capable.

Maybe it is semantics but to say break out I take that as showing game that we have yet to see, as in taking the game to another level. IN saying that, Hicks just being on the court more and not fouling is what I expect to see. I think many would see him as a break out player but really doing what we have already seen, just more of it because he is on the court more.

But meeks has game to show that we have not seen yet, to see that would be more to my definition of break out than doing what I have already seen just able to do it more because ya on the court more.

Its often said the difference between a AAA baseball player and a major leaguer is not talent, but consistency. And that's just what we haven't seen yet from either of these guys. Like you're saying, staying on the court more might be all these guys need for that "break out" or whatever you want to call it. The tools and skills are there.

Well, the talent and skills are definitely there for Isaiah, at any rate. If he can average 28-30 MPG, he's fully capable of averaging 15 and 8, and that would be all we need from him on a daily basis.

Kennedy is another story. Churchill described Russia as a "riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma." Going into his fourth season, I've seen some pretty high highs and some pretty low lows from Kennedy. And I really want to give him the benefit of the doubt and attribute his inconsistency to injuries, I really do. So TBH, I don't know who the real Kennedy is and I don't know what to expect of him this year. If he can give us 28 MPG and average 14 and 7, I'll be elated.

Both are fine young men who have represented the university with class and I'm really hoping to see both go out on a high note.
