Well we have already played (and lost to) 3 of the 4 likely 1 seeds and a couple of the 2's.

We held our head at sea level through the string of 6 nowhere near sniffing the tournament teams, and looked good in doing so, in dominant fashion.

That does nothing for us moving off the bubble, but it prevents being DOA to the ACC tourney without a guarenteed bid for winning it. It also gives the tenuous they are playing "hot" argument, against 150 ranked teams, sure, but a win streak going in to selection Sunday nonetheless.

Playing dook competitively makes that argument more plausible. Beating them gets us in going into the ACC tourney, with a gotta win one at least still.
