Boeheim no like G'boro......

Never have liked Syracuse. My senior year UNC was hosting a regional and Syracuse was playing. A group of us were waiting for a bus on Franklin when a van load of the Yankees pulled up to ask how to get to the Smith Center in a very obnoxious manner. We politely gave them very specific directions to South Square Mall.

It may or may not factor in the decision to have it in GSO, but it's obviously the most central location to the most schools. Seven schools are within easy driving distance. Not all college students and working fans can hop on a plane to NYC and stay for several days.

Going to have to disagree. As a former resident I'd have to say NYC has more fun, free activities than anywhere else in the country. Just walking the city on its own is an adventure. There's also a huge working class population there.

I don't think anyone is questioning that NYC is the better/cooler location when compared to Greensboro, it sounds like it's more a debate of tradition and maybe total distance traveled. How much weight you put on that kind of stuff is up to interpretation I guess.

I'm in favor of a rotation.

I wouldn't mind see it rotated between MSG, Barclays, Gboro and Atlanta. Gets a cluster of teams relatively close to home at least once every four years and covers the entire ACC map relatively.

OMG! A UNC-G win would break the internet!

I used to like Syracuse when they had Melo and that scrappy PG, but Boeheim's get off my lawn act has been old for decades!

As a UNC-G alum, I pray the Spartans win. I will not pull for Syracuse again unless they play dook or Statelol. As some writer said years ago, if a hemorrhoids could talk, they'd sound like Jim Boeheim.

When I attended from 89-92, I worked play by play for 2 years on the school radio station WUAG. Mostly did mens games but worked a few womens games. Geez, this is old times when we had a phone at the scorers table and would plug the phone into the jack then call the radio station. I had to talk to the person at the station and hope they could hear me cause we couldnt communicate back and forth. All he could do was hear me follow my lead. We couldnt talk to anyone at the station after we called cause there was only 1 number to the station. So, during TO's and half time, the person at the station would run some PSA's or play music. We had to time everything. I would say something "we are going to a 60 second break, we'll be back" then I started a timer and the person at the station would start a 60 second PSA. As soon as the PSA ended, he put us back on live. I had to hope that we counted pretty close to the same amount of time.It was all about timing...which we sucked at it.

Damn...I had a great time while at G.

Syracuse also announced that its NIT game against UNC Greensboro at the Carrier Dome has been postponed until Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET. because of the snowstorm.

Just saying, Jimbo my man, maybe the game would have been better off in Greensboro?
