I'm not saying this is true of all east coasters, New Yorkers, but to me he just always had that sort of smug, arrogant, "I'm way above having to talk to you morons in the media or anyone who isn't from around here. I don't owe you the time of day". And he would act even worse if his team got lit up or if there was something questionable about a decision he made, how his team played, or any sort of controversy around his program (remember - there was plenty - lots of his wins got erased, nullified for a few years of play due to NCAA violations).Yeah wth was that
