I have to assume that having one of the best FT shooters in UNC history on the staff is a huge benefit for us.

I just compared percentages from last year and several really stand out- especially our big men!

Big Jumps:
Johnson .678 to this year at .800
Hicks .621 now at .806 (he attempted 87 all of last year and already has 67 attempts this year)

Improvement:
Meeks .641 to .708
Berry .757 to 8.13
Jackson .710 to .718

Deceased:
Paige .865 to .806
Britt .882 to .769
James .667 to .556

A couple of things that leap out at me:
We had 24 assists on 32 made baskets, as Gary said earlier, and two guys with eight apiece. Very nice sharing of the ball!

Isaiah was a man on the boards, something I've been wanting to see. What a stat line he had: 21 points on 5 of 5 from the field and 11 of 13 from the stripe with 8 boards to boot. And all this in only 22 minutes.

And all JoEL did was score 6 points on 3 of 5 shooting and add 6 boards in a very efficient 10 minutes. Just what we need from the Dancing Bear.

We may look back at the end of the year and say Kennedy having to sit out a few games was a blessing in disguise because it prompted Isaiah/Brice/James to take their games to another level.
