The UNC senior forward met with the media Friday before practice to discuss, in part, his performance Monday night at FSU in which he scored 39 points and grabbed 23 rebounds.
Johnson was asked if a 15-point, 10-rebound performance Saturday night at Syracuse would be acceptable now that expectations are soaring.
"The expectation do scare me a little bit, but at the same time, as long as we win I don't care about those, they can say what they want. I just want to win games," he said. "This is probably the closest I've been to winning at ACC championship with a team like this. We have everybody back, we're on a roll, first time we've started conference play 3-0, I just want to win, I don't care about anybody's expectations.
"I don't do that every game, I don't need to do that every game. With the circumstances the way the game was going and our post players were in a lot of foul trouble, we had to go smaller and I had to do those types of things to help us out."
