May 30, 1806: Future United States president Andrew Jackson participated in a duel over a horse race bet, killing Charles Dickinson, one of the best pistol shots in the area.
 


That day changed the next 20 years of the United States. Bobby was anti-Johnson who was becoming incredibly unpopular by 1968 and would have probably won many of the midwest states that Humphrey didn't have the charisma to carry. Wallace stole a ton of Nixon votes and would have been the difference in a tight Kennedy vs. Nixon election.
