Pre ACC tournament I thought 2 wins would get us in as long as we did not get dog walked by dook. A competitive loss mattered. dook beating Louisville by double digits in the final without Flagg helped as well. Every bit counted.

I haven’t read through this thread but the opinion media accomplished its goal. To gain an emotional response to a talking point. Mission accomplished.
The media doesn’t have an anti UNC bias. The media has a bias towards compelling content. This year that compelling content was that UNC should not have made the tournament according to them.
And judging this thread is into its third page and will be 5 pages deep if UNC wins a few games, mission accomplished.

I disagree. The media would not be this up in arms if Boise St snuck in. I know you like to be right, & probably in your mind you think you always are, but you are wrong here.
We are in……Did we deserve it….No but guess what when you are on the bubble this is what happens….Make no mistake they look at how teams are playing down the stretch….
Agreed that if BSU got in they wouldn't have as much to yell about. Despite all the hate, I'm sure they're happier that UNC snuck in. It would be the same if it was UK, KU, dook. They get a TON of mileage out of a blue blood being the last team in.

UNC is one of like 6 programs in the country that the average CBB fan has an opinion about. So if they’re on the bubble and get in, it’s going to be a talking point.
All you said is UNC is more compelling content than if Boise State got in. So, UNC will get talked about more. And typically, if you get talked about more, people will be critical of you.
This isn’t some media scheme. They were gift wrapped a talking point regarding the bubble since teams like UNC aren’t in it that often. So they’re going to squeeze the life out of it in a 24-48 hour news cycle.
No kidding Boise State wouldn’t have gotten yelled about. Who has ever yelled about Boise State basketball.
